MotoGP:Hernandez to sub for Spies at Pramac

Since being injured again at Indianapolis, Spies has been covered for by Michele Pirro. However, the Italian will not be able to compete in the Aragon race at the end of the month due to his workload with the Ducati Test Team. Hernandez will therefore step into action, then remaining with Pramac until Spies is able to return.
“Yonny is an interesting rider,” Francesco Guidotti, Team Manager for Pramac Racing Team, tells motogp.com in a video interview. “He came to us, asking for the chance of replacing Ben for the next few races. An agreement has been found with his actual team, PBM, and (on Monday) he will be ready to test for the new challenge. The test is not just a test; it is to prepare him to arrive in Aragon with some experience on our bike.”

Hernandez, hailing from Medellin, made his World Championship debut in Moto2™ three years ago. He debuted in the premier class last season with Avintia Blusens, then switching to PBM to ride the ART bike in 2013. So far this campaign, the 25-year-old has achieved four points finishes, the most recent of which came at Laguna Seca.
